New to Hockey??

* * * * * *

Rams Hockey is proud to offer developmental and competitive youth programs at almost every level. Regardless of where you are in your hockey career, Rams Hockey will be a great partner to help give you the skill sets to reach your goals.

Is your kid interested in Hockey?? The best place to start is a Try Hockey for Free Event: The Rams Hockey Association hosts three to four Try Hockey for Free events each season. This event is geared toward kids ages 4 to 9 and its goal is to introduce a new group of kids to the wonderful sport of hockey. Each event is held at the Cedar Rock Sports Plex and is completely free to participants. All required gear is provided at the rink or kids can bring their own gear if they have it. We provide an online registration format through USA Hockey for participants, and we are also set up to register kids on the day of the event.

Does your kids want to learn more?!?! The next step is...

Learn to Skate: The Rams Hockey Association typically offers four 6-week Learn to Skate sessions during the season. The sessions were geared toward kids who were 4 to 9 years old and are new to ice skating. Each session offers one hour of on-ice instruction per week. Our coaches work with the participants to teach them the basics of skating and prepare them to transition into Learn to Play.

  • Day(s): occurs 1 day per week during the 6 week period (Sundays)
  • Time: 1 hour of on ice time with an instructor
  • Sign up – can be started right at the beginning of a session or during one that has already started.  Contact Holly@Ramshockey.Org for more information
