Learn to Play
The Rams Hockey Association typically offers four 6-week Learn to Play sessions during the season. The sessions were geared toward kids who were 4 to 9 years old and are new to ice hockey. Full Equipment is needed for this program and if needed, the Rams Hockey Association has a limited amount of gear available for participants to borrow. Each session offers one hour of on-ice instruction per week. Our coaches work with the participants to teach them the basics of hockey and prepare them to transition into the Mites program or higher depending on age of the participant.
We now have two program options available when registering your child for Learn to Play. Both options will take place on the same dates and at the same times; however, the program costs are different.
- Learn to Play: $115
- Little Wings: $270
The differences between the two programs are outlined below to help you determine which option is the best fit for your child.
Little Wings Program
New to our Learn to PLAY program
Little Wings includes everything your child needs to get started in hockey.
∙ Full equipment set to keep — helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, shin guards, skates, bag, stick, and a Little Wings jersey customized by your local NHL team

Rams Learn to Play
Learn to Play you will need to purchase your own equipment or you can borrow some from RAMS for the session.
Equipement needed: helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, shin guards, skates, stick.
Rams will provide a jersey.
Learn to Play registration for session 1 is now open and begins September 20th 2026!
Once you have done one session with the Little Wing Program you can just sign up for the RAMS LEARN TO PLAY
Ages
This session is geared toward kids who are 4 years of age and older and who are wanting to prepare for our Mites program or higher depending on the age

- Day(s): occurs 1 day per week during the 6 week period (Sundays)
- Time: 1 hour of on ice time with an instructor

LTP 2026-2027
